College of Cincinnati law school dean named CEO of Equal Justice Will work

College of Cincinnati Faculty of Law Dean Verna L. Williams is leaving the university following 21 years for Washington, D.C., in which she’s been named CEO of the nonprofit Equivalent Justice Operates. Her last day at UC is Sept. 14, and she’ll start off work as CEO the subsequent 7 days.

The group hosts a network of law college students, lawyers, legal service companies and supporters “to promote a lifelong determination to community provider and equivalent justice,” according to its site. Equivalent Justice Operates facilitates fellowships, connects regulation pupils with numerous alternatives, holds profession fairs and partners with legislation educational facilities to boost general public desire regulation programming. There are 200 fellows at this time in the program and 2,300 alumni.
