Two new directors joined the Elon Law community this slide to support get ready learners and graduates for good results on the bar exam and in pursuing their occupation plans.
Assistant Dean Jenny Lane L’15 will guide an Office environment of Academic Results that presents courses and delivers resources to succeed in legislation faculty, pass the bar assessment, and create behavior that will have above into a professional environment.
Lane’s return to Elon Legislation – she beforehand labored for a couple of yrs in tutorial help for her alma mater – entirely completes the Workplace of Tutorial Achievements. She joins Marty McAuliffe, who joined the law college local community in August as director of tutorial and bar achievements, and Patrick Ellington L’13, Elon Law’s tutorial and bar success expert.

Jenny Lane L’15
Jenny Lane’s appointment to provide as assistant dean for educational success provides her back again to Elon University University of Legislation immediately after a 12 months controlling the AccessLex Champions Program, a nationwide system of much more than 300 university student reps who shared AccessLex Institute means in their respective law educational facilities.
Lane had served from 2017-2022 in Elon Law’s Place of work of Tutorial Success as an educational capabilities instructor and director of bar accomplishment systems in which, amid other obligations, she:
- Taught needed 1L, 2L, and 3L programs such as Bar Examination Foundations and Introduction to Lawful Research
- Developed and led the Bar Exam Mentorship system which connected bar-takers with an alumni or college bar mentor to support in their bar exam journey
- Produced the “Texts for Success” Bar Exam Initiative, which highlighted each day texts that contains study ideas, motivational estimates, and additional to bar-studiers
Lane graduated cum laude from Saint Vincent Higher education ahead of enrolling at Elon Regulation. She started her lawful vocation as the Julian T. Pierce Fellowship Legal professional for Authorized Aid of North Carolina just before accepting a total-time place with Lawful Assist as a employees lawyer in Gastonia.

Kristen Covington
Prior to becoming a member of the Elon Regulation group in November, Kristen Covington served as director of recruitment and employer enhancement for North Carolina Central University Faculty of Regulation. In that placement, she developed promoting products and assisted with celebration preparing and advertising, collected information from activities and programming, and managed data for reporting for the American Bar Affiliation.
She also presented career route coaching and directed the College of Law’s mentor program, matching almost a hundred college students with just one of dozens of volunteer mentors.
Covington graduated magna cum laude College of South Carolina following double majoring in criminology and prison justice/African-American Reports. She worked for a few several years in the airline field in advance of returning to North Carolina Heart Faculty of Legislation and serving as a Lexis Nexis Ambassador and with the Women’s Law Caucus, the Durham County Teenager Courtroom, and the legislation school’s Dime Initiative.
“I’m enthusiastic to be a part of the Elon Regulation community,” Covington stated. “I firmly believe that that meeting learners and developing associations will support me support them in acquiring their goals and aims. I appear ahead to remaining a resource and providing encouragement and assistance.”
